Tygon DEHP Free Tubing

The call for a DEHP Free tubing product has been heard. Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, manufacturer of Tygon Tubing, has recently begun including a "Supplement to Hazard Warnings & Use Instructions" insert regarding DEHP in their packages of tubing which contain DEHP. The insert reads:

"Warning: This product contains DEHP phthalate, a chemical substance listed in European Directives and other national legislations as hazardous. In the European classification system DEHP is listed 'Reprotoxic category 2 - May impair fertility - May cause harm to the unborn child.' In Proposition 65 of the State of California (USA), DEHP is listed 'known to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.' Therefore this product must not be used for unauthorized applications."
